Pebble Pictures

All materials provided to produce a pebble picture of your choosing.

Plenty of ideas on display to give you ideas.  Definitely involves glue, pebbles and a box frame, can involve paint, glitter, feathers, buttons etc. etc.

Bead Mosaics

It’s glue again but this time with beads galore and an opportunity to produce abstract art or detailed realism.  It’s as easy or complicated as you make it but we’ll be there to encourage you throughout!

Nails and Wool pictures.

You will need to bring a hammer for this craft but everything else is provided.  It’s a modern take on the nail and string art that was all the rage in the 70s.  Depending on your design it can also involve paint or material and a staple gun.

Needle felting

Learn the basics of this technique and produce a beautiful piece of wall art as you do it.   Many people get quite addicted to this technique once they start.  Sticking needles into things in the name of art can be very therapeutic!

Felted Fairies

Another form of needle felting.  With this session you produce a beautiful (or ugly if you wish) felted fairy.

Soap felting

Let us help you reduce your use of plastic.  Learn to felt a soap on a rope and never buy anymore shower gel.  Finishing the product involves needle felting

Wet Felting

Make a wall hanging or patterned piece of felt to make into a cushion etc.  No needles with this technique but plenty of rolling (a bit like pastry making).  Discover the technique that for centuries has been used to make shoes, handbags, hats and more.

Stick Weaving

Using just 2 sticks and some wool weave a pot stand, snail or snake! It’s easier than it sounds.

All of the above crafts are suitable for beginners.  Many of them involve recycled items to reduce waste.  The numbers we can cater for varies with the craft.  Generally we need a minimum of 5 people to run a class.  For large groups we can run 2 crafts simultaneously.  We have a help yourself to tea, coffee, biscuits and cakes bar and are able to liaise with Hilary and Ian’s Bistro for more substantial meals.  Alternatively ask about bringing your own drinks and nibbles!
