SMALL ROUND BASKET
Make a small, round stake and strand willow basket in a day using a variety of different willow. You will also learn how to select the correct materials and weave using traditional techniques.

Clare is a selected member of the Makers Guild in Wales recognizing the high quality of her craft skills and she teaches City and Guilds Level 2 & 3 Basketry as well as one and two day courses.

A two day course taught together with Les Llewelyn. The Cyntell is a basket which can be made by complete beginners, however, if you are an improving basketmaker there are a wealth of skills to learn during the making of this basket including the basic principles of frame basket making such as making the frame and weaving across the basket, splitting and shaving willow to form ribs. These skills have been handed down through generations and weaving this basket provides a strong connection to our Welsh agricultural and basketmaking heritage

On this course you will learn to make one large and one small willow wreath with fresh coloured willow which you can then decorate or leave in it's simple natural beauty to adorn your front door.
