Run by the artists and crafters come and see us at work or have a go yourself!

What are we?

Our Story

In 2014 Julie who runs the village shop gave us the opportunity to convert part of her storeroom into a craft shop. We jumped at the chance and within 4 weeks we had opened!  Over the next 3 years Julies storeroom got smaller and smaller and the craft shop bigger until in October 2017 a wall was built between us and the storeroom to prevent us invading further!

In January 2019 we moved into our new bigger shop (just round the corner from the original space). Now as well as providing a sea of handmade treasures from local crafters, we also run craft workshops in our bespoke space.

Initially we were a group of 5 mad middle aged women with a passion for art, craft and recycling. Now we are a core team of 8 artists and crafters but also include guest makers whenever possible.

New in 2020

Clare Revera of Welsh Baskets and Fran Rushworth  of Rich and Strange now have their own studios at Crafts by the Sea and Francine Davis her own art Gallery currently exhibiting her stunning Icelandic paintings,  previously housed at the Icelandic Embassy, London.

We also have a help yourself to tea, coffee and juice bar and a tempting selection of cakes and biscuits.

We look forward to welcoming you and showing you around.
